Mace raises profile in China

The Mace team in China has moved into a fully branded and expanded headquarters in shanghai. The move comes on the heels of the debut of Thomas Heatherwick "Seed Cathedral" (the UK's Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010), and supports the offices burgeoning order book.

Mike Horenko, Mace's Shanghai-based regional director for Asia, said: "Having established a full Mace office allows us to showcase the company's image and culture whilst providing an excellent working environment for our team."

This move is timely as it closely followed our recent VIP event held at the UK Pavilion at the Shanghai World EXPO. The Mace team hosted 110 VIP guests at the event which was organised with the aim of raising Mace's profile in China. Themed "Mace makes it happen", the event was opened by the British Consul General, the Right Honourable Ms. Carma Elliott who widely praised the Mace FCO team for realising what many thought impossible. The FCO team was represented at the event by senior manager Mark Tranter and project manager, Annie Chan, who organised, chaired and presented the event.
